Requirements for Admission:
Beyond the other requirements prescribed along with the respective courses, the following qualifying factors are very much essential for admission at NLSOM.

A personal Christian experience (Born again experience).

Assurance of a divine call for full-time ministry.

Church Membership Certificate (copy of Baptism Certificate must be attached).

A desire to pursue academic studies.

Willingness to work hard with good physical and mental health.

Willingness to abide by the rules, regulations, and ethos of the college

Letters of Recommendation / Reference (Forms enclosed)

A Letter from the applicant's Pastor

A Letter from the office of the applicant's church or organization, in the case of sponsored candidates (the church office may be President, Superintendent, Overseer, Bishop, or District Minister).

A Letter from a responsible Christian leader/friend
Entrance Examination
The college conducts an entrance examination for every student who seeks admission to the respective program. Admission to these programs is subject to the successful passing of the Entrance Examination. The Entrance Examination covers the following areas

Bible knowledge

General knowledge

English
Bible and General knowledge shall be tested in a one sitting examination of three hours. The English examination shall be for two hours. However, the candidates applying as transfer students are required to write a comprehensive examination in place of Bible Knowledge and General Knowledge that covers areas of Biblical Studies, Theology, History of Christianity, Christian ministry, and Mission. (Based on which year the applicant is applying for - as per ATA requirement)
Personal Interview
All the applicants seeking admission to the college must appear for a personal
interview in the college following the entrance examination on a date prescribed by the Dean of Admissions.
The College offers different programs such as B.Th and B.A & B.Th degrees for those who have completed Intermediate/twelfth grade or its equivalent. A candidate who is capable can register for the double degree program. Such a candidate while doing the B Th. the program can also do a B.A. Program from Andhra University in Vizag.
